UK-based truck mounted rental company Blade Access Specialists has taken delivery of two 28 metre counter-slew P 300 KS Palfinger platforms.

“With the shortest wheelbase in their class at only three metres and a stowed height of 3.3 metres, the units are not only very compact but also boast a very impressive 20 metres of outreach with a maximum capacity of 300kg,” said Blade’s managing director Mark Bell.

“We are widely known for our larger truck mounted platform rental, so it is important that we offer continuity with the same reliability and performance on all our units below the 35 metre working height threshold.”

The compact platforms have an impressive 20 metres of outreach with a maximum SWL of 300kg.

“The units are mounted on the short wheel base MAN 8.150 4x2. Historically we have experienced outstanding reliability from both the MAN trucks and Palfinger Platforms so the combination decision was easy.”

Bell says that the company will take delivery of truck mounted platforms worth more than £3 million this year.

“The first quarter of 2012 has proved to be the most successful we have ever had, with revenues already up by 45 percent on any previous first quarter. Our strategic investment strategy combined with recent key appointments will without doubt assist our strong on-going development programme.”

Blade Access is also confident of delivering a series of practical working at height solutions for both the wind and bio-mass energy industries throughout 2012 following confirmation of long term contracts in both sectors.

“We are extremely confident about the next phase of our expansion following close and detailed development work with a number of our clients throughout the winter. Exciting times lie ahead and I’m looking forward to our new solutions working on sites across the UK and territories further afield!”
