Hewden wins training contract
UK rental company Hewden has been appointed as sole accredited training provider for Stratford based specialist event crew supplier Showforce.
The three year partnership will include training in health and safety, working at height, harness awareness and accredited plant and access training. The additional training courses that Hewden will provide include: Manual Handling, SPA (Passport to safety live events), PASMA, NPORS, CPCS Plant, IPAF, Safety Harness/ Working at Height, Rough Terrain and Telehandling.

Showforce has said it hopes to ensure that its crew members have the appropriate training and hold the relevant licences and certificates to work in the events industry.
Hewden’s commercial director, Susan Shardlow added: “Hewden is committed to providing a comprehensive range of industry accredited training courses to address our customers’ varying requirements. We are pleased to be working with Showforce to ensure all employees are trained to the highest standards before they are deployed on site.”
The first month of the partnership has seen 50 Showforce crew members receive over a thousand hours of training. The projected total training hours over the three years is expected to exceed 25,000 hours.
