Airo success for Hoffman
German aerial lift rental and sales company Hoffmann held an open day earlier this year to launch its new Airo showroom and service building at its headquarters in Waghäusel, near Manheim.
The new structure has been designed specifically to support the Airo self-propelled product line and is branded as Airo Deutschland. The day, a Saturday, went better than expected, with over 100 guests attending and 10 orders booked on the day, with enquiries received for a further 65, ranging from small scissors to larger articulated booms.

Rimedia Perotto, Hoffmann’s commercial manager said: “We started the cooperation with Airo in 2008, patiently introducing these platforms on the German market, with the collaboration of other rental companies, who are our associates. These machines cannot be sold through leaflets, they have to be tested. The innate distrust of Germans towards Italian products has been overcome simply through experience and evaluation, those who have purchased Airo machines comment on the reliability, the stability, the precision and, above all, their function speeds. A German user typically looks for a decent return on his investment, therefore the price is not an issue if he gets what he wants in terms of work efficiency and technical assistance.”

“We planned to sell 150 machines in 2012, but following the success of our open day let us hope in a better result. Airo supplies us with the best support too, from the sales phase, with factory painting of machines in the customer’s livery, to fast delivery in standard colours.”
Hoffmann is a member of the System Lift national rental franchise/network and in addition to aerial lifts runs a fleet of telescopic handlers and mini cranes. The company also has a second rental location in Rüsselsheim.
