Industry safety meeting at Vertikal Days

The UK’s Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group will hold an ‘Open Meeting’ at this year’s Vertikal Days on Thursday June 28th.

Organised by CPA, this will be an opportunity for working group members and others to learn about on-going projects and the latest publications. In line with the normal Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group policy, the Health & Safety Executive and ConstructionSkills will participate and a range of federations and industry bodies will also be represented, along with principal contractors and other individual companies.

Part of the meeting will cover the latest guidance on Medical Fitness for operating plant and equipment. This new document sets out to answer a range of questions around the importance of fitness for the safe operation of machinery, and gives guidance on the steps that an employer can take to meet clients’ needs in a practical way.
