Kimberly goes with Sanctuary Zone

Kimberly Access has become the first powered access company in the UK to make a significant investment in AFI’s SanctuaryZone anti-crushing device for boom lifts.

The company has ordered 50 kits after having looked into developing its own anti crushing/overhead protection device and then deciding to look at what was already available commercially. Kimberly says that it will make SanctuaryZone available to its customers throughout its seven strong UK depot network.

The SanctuaryZone

The company’s group operations director Alex Lowe said: “When we looked into SanctuaryZone we saw that a great deal of thought had gone into its development. It is a robust tried and tested device that is easy to install and will fit onto our boom lifts without us having to make the time-consuming adjustments that would have been necessary with electronic anti-crushing devices.”

“We were also very impressed that it has been made readily available to everyone. This is a very mature attitude and I wish other companies could be as open as this because there should be no barriers to safety.”

“SanctuaryZone comes in flat pack format but only takes about 20 minutes to assemble. Once assembled it can be fitted to a boom lift within a few minutes.
