Konecranes acquires in Indiana

Finnish overhead crane and lifting equipment specialist Konecranes has acquired Ameratronic Industries of Portage, Indiana, USA.

Ameratronic provides crane and hoist servicing to clients in North West Indiana and employs five staff. The sale was instigated by the retirement of the current owners. The business will be incorporated into Konecranes' existing branch in nearby Crown Point, Indiana.

Bernie D'Ambrosi, Konecranes vice president of service for the Americas region, said: "We're very excited about this acquisition and look forward to continuing the high standard of service that Ameratronic Industries has established."
