CTE Zed 20 Mk 2

CTE launched a second generation version of its popular 20 metre Z20C 3.5 tonne truck mounted aerial lift at last week’s Vertikal Days.

The ZED 20.2 is more of an evolution than a totally new product, it adopts many of the new ideas introduced with the 21 metre ZED 21 JH last year, including a 300kg unrestricted platform capacity and the company’s single action out and down H-type outrigger system.

Other improvements include an increased slewing range – now 340 degrees, an improved slew brake and lock. The use of Domex high strength 1200 steel in the lift structure, which combined with a new boom design, helps improve platform rigidity, especially at full extension. And finally the overall stowed height of the machine has been lowered to 2.5 metres.

The operator will also notice a substantial change to the control panel, which is now tilted towards him, while the controls are said to be easier to use, provide better visibility over the console and includes a new hinged cover.
