500 tonne Liebherr for Rostocker
German based corrosion protection company Rostocker Korrosionsschutz has taken delivery of a 500 tonne Liebherr LTM1500-8.1 All Terrain crane.
This is the fourth Liebherr mobile crane that the Rostock based company has purchased in the last two years. Its first was a 200 tonne LTM 1220-5.1, followed by a 350 tonne LTM 1350-6.1 and finally one of the new compact LTC 1045-3.1 city type cranes.
The LTM 1500 will be based at Bremerhaven, northern Germany, working with the offshore wind turbine industry, which the company said is a very important and rapidly growing market in the region.

Detlef Krebs, managing director of Rostocker, said: “It is very important to have lifting equipment in various capacity categories, because this allows us to optimise our production processes and deploy our personnel optimally, as we provide a full service.”

Rostocker is part of the Krebs Group which is a third generation family business established in 1949. The company, provides protective coatings to anything from ships to industrial smoke stacks as well as running a crane and heavy transport fleet. It has approximately 400 employees at nine locations throughout northern Germany and over 220 vehicles- including aerial lifts and cranes.
