Imperial targets St Louis
Chicago, USA, based Imperial Crane Services has opened a new location in Roxana, Illinois, with the objective to break into the nearby St. Louis, Missouri crane market.
The new location, on the north side of St Louis, is said to offer opportunities for both large, long-term projects and daily rentals, being close to plants such as ConocoPhillips in Wood River, Illinois. The new branch is part of the company’s long-term plan is to expand throughout the United States in order to expand both the daily rentals and large, long-term projects. This is its fifth location.
Imperial has hired crane rental veteran Larry Leuchtmann to run the new office and build the business. The company has a good deal of experience in petrochemical work, and has used the proximity to a ConocoPhillips plant in the past, having opened its Texas branch in Borger, Texas close to ConcoPhillips refinery in the area. The company is also the preferred vendor for BP’s Whiting Refinery Moderation Project in Whiting, Indiana and has worked in the CITGO refinery in Lemont, Illinois for over 30 years.
The new location will also help place a large number of new cranes arriving this year, including Sany crawler cranes, Tadano Rough-Terrains and a 600 tonne Liebherr.
Imperial is distributor for Sany crawler cranes, Elliot boom trucks and Tadano cranes.
