IPS expands into the Netherlands

UK-based International parts and after-sales service supplier IPS is to offer a new mobile parts service in the Netherlands, with the official launch at next week’s Verticaaldagen event.

Adopting a similar strategy to the UK, IPS will use a sales van based in Arnhem as its mobile parts service, selling common and fast moving access parts to rental companies throughout the region.

“We have built strong relationships with our Dutch customers and they have responded enthusiastically to plans to expand into the Netherlands,” said Sander Mellaard, parts manager of IPS.

“The van holds about 400 fast-moving items from a range of manufacturers. By extending the service into the Netherlands and possibly further into Europe, customers have an alternative way to purchase parts with the back-up of website and telephone ordering. They will also benefit from the local knowledge and support offered by a regional representative.”

Operations director, Kevin Shadbolt added: “By expanding our services we become more accessible to the Dutch rental market and further strengthen our position in Europe. The geography of the Netherlands lends itself perfectly to receive the on-the-road parts service – its major cities are in close proximity and benefit from well-connected motorway links.”
