HSS acquires generator company

Less than a week after its ownership change UK based HSS has made an acquisition, buying Abird generators from John Bird. .

Abird is based in Kent with a network of seven locations across England and Wales renting insonorised generators of all sizes, lighting towers and all ancillary equipment.

The acquisition is supported by Abird’s senior management team led by managing director Chris Anspack. The business which employs 60 will continue to operate under its own brand and be led by its current management team.

Anspack said: "Today's announcement is an important milestone in the growth of our company. I am delighted that the deal has been successful. We have been looking at the best options to manage our growing business. While Abird Generator Hire will continue to trade as a separate brand, joining the HSS Hire Group presents a great opportunity to unlock new investment as we embark on the next stage of our growth and development.”
