Straddle carriers for NZ

Liebherr has received an order for three SC350T straddle carriers for the Port of Tauranga, New Zealand.

The three units will be fitted with a 50 tonne Stinis twin lift spreader, which allows individual twin handling of a container at either end of the spreader, and will have the ability to lift one container over the top of two containers. The straddle carriers are due for delivery in the first quarter of 2013.

It is a pleasure to supply Liebherr straddle carriers to help bring increased capacity and productivity in view of the recent surge in the port’s handling volumes.”
