Falling load crushes man
A 38-year-old man was crushed in the Bronx, New York on Tuesday by an temporary cooling unit that fell from a crane.
The load - a temporary cooler rented from Aggreko by Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center for the summer- was being lifted along with a trailer when a lifting chain broke.
The load slipped and fell onto the man, Michael Tristan Mananghaya who was actiing as a signaller and was said to be standing under the load. He reportedly worked for the company that was contracted to remove the air conditioner -C&L Towing .
He was declared dead at the scenel.
