First Amco Veba for N.Ireland

The first Amco Veba 950 5S crane to be sold in the UK, is going to Northern Irelands leading crawler crane hirer, O'Kane Bros, for lifting and shifting counterweights and boom sections.

The 950 is the largest model in Amco Veba’s 900 series with a capacity of 46 Tonne/Metres and up to 26 metres of outreach. The unit, which was installed by Tip N Lift of Ipswich, is mounted on a DAF 6x4 tractor unit.

The Amco Veba 950 will handle crane counterweights and boom sections

O,Kanes bought the crane through Bill Green, working as an agent for Amco Veba. Commenting, having seen the new crane after it was mounted and tested, he told Vertikal.Net “ If ever a crane looked right this is it. It lifts like a horse, will pick just better than 2.70 tonnes at 14m radius and operates as smooth as a babies bottom”.
