Record sales for System Lift

System Lift, the German association of independent rental companies, reported at its annual general meeting that its members achieved a new record in terms of revenues and overall performance during 2012.

Chairman Leopold Mayrhofer told the members – who are all shareholders in the association company – that revenues from the rental of work platforms and forklifts during 2012 rose by 15 percent to €119 million, while capital investment increased 32 percent from €29.8 million to €39.5 million.

The organisation also claims to have trained 8,472 people during the year, through its ID card system – a 70 percent increase on last year. It said that it expects this number to increase over the next 12 months as a result of the introduction of forklift training last autumn.
