Deutz strengthens management

German engine manufacturer Deutz has appointed Michael Wellenzohn to the newly created position of chief sales and marketing officer, effective 1st March. He joins the company from ThyssenKrupp, where he was vice president of sales and procurement.

The company said: “Wellenzohn brings with him extensive knowledge of the international sector from various markets including China, Japan and the Americas. Most recently he was head of sales at ThyssenKrupp where he was responsible for sales of approximately €3 billion. In the past 18 years he has also played an instrumental role in the development of the steering systems product area to leading position.”
