Facelift shortlisted for sustainability
An increasing number of access rental companies are embracing environmentally friendly policies – in the UK privately owned Facelift has been shortlisted for the Guardian Sustainability award. In the final it is up against massive organisations such as the National Trust and British Land.
The equipment rental business overall does not have a great record for being environmentally efficient or even conscious, however this has been changing with large companies implementing policies that range from more efficient service vans, lighter weight machines with Hybrid type power packs, to major recycling programmes at depot level and more efficient buildings.
Many German companies have been following such procedures for many years, now economics and regulation is forcing all of us to take this area more seriously.
Hopefully Facelift’s nomination for this award by a national newspaper, will put access rental in the public eye as well as inspire other companies to look harder at their sustainability.
