New Grove for Quick Pick

Connecticut, USA based crane rental company Quick Pick has taken delivery of a new 80 ton (72.5 tonne) Grove TMS800E truck crane.

The new 80 ton crane arrives to replace a 17 year old Grove TMS870

The new crane, which replaces a 70 ton 1996 Grove TMS870, features a 39 metre main boom and has been ordered with a 17 metre offsetable swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of 58 metres, this compares to the 53 metres on the machine it is replacing.
The new acquisition will shortly be joined by a new 90 ton Link Belt truck crane.

The crane was purchased through local Grove dealer Shawmut Equipment which also provided a full day of familiarisation training at the company’s Derby base.

A day's training was carried out at Quick Pick's premises

Quick Pick was founded in 1984 and has a fleet of around 25 cranes topped out by a 275 ton Grove AT and a 440 tone Manitowoc 16000 crawler.
