Jekko appoints Spiderlift

Italian mini crane manufacturer Jekko has appointed Chesterfield-based The Spiderlift Company as its exclusive UK distributor.

Spiderlift has squeezed into a last-minute stand at Vertikal Days and will be exhibiting two models at next week’s event at Haydock Park.

Steve Hadfield, managing director of Spiderlift said: “Our company is well known for providing Spiderlift Access Platform solutions, originally from Teupen and today from CMC. We wanted to add another specialist, but diverse brand to our offering and it was a natural progression to consider a mini, or spider-crane product line. Jekko is a natural choice for us, with its own take on the mini crane concept which differentiates it from its Japanese counterparts.”

Visitors to Vertikal Days will be able to see the Jekko SPD360-CDH spider-crane the largest able to pass through as single door measuring 800mm wide and offering a maximum main boom radius of eight metres lifting 400kg. The hydraulic powered luffing and telescoping jib option will also be on show and this offers 800kg to a maximum lift height of 12.5 metres. The MR800.4 glass manipulator can be added to this model, with a 270kg capacity to 6.5 metre radius and 450kg capacity to 4.5 metre radius.

Also on show will be the two tonne capacity MPK-20 pick&carry crane
with 5.5 metre hook height and 2.5 metre max radius from front
wheels. Weighing 1,350kg it can be fitted with 800mm/500kg jib, hoist
rope and radio remote control. A Jekko GVi 4+2LX suspended vacuum lifter from its Vacuum Tech range of glass manipulators will also be exhibited.
