Cranes and Platforms prepare for Popes visit.

Major preparations have been made for the papal visit to Cologne this Thursday, Pope Benedikt XVI, will speak to the an expected audience of over 800,000 young people, during the Catholic world youth days.

A Gardemann truck mount helps erect the giant posters


The organisers have constructed a huge temporary dome, erected on a “mount” from which he will deliver mass.

In addition a number of 10 by 12 metre posters have been placed around the city, access rental company Gardemann provided a number of truck and self propelled booms to assist with the task.
