UK small Businesses hit new record

The latest statistics from the UK’s Department of Trade and Industry, show that the net number of companies operating in the UK, grew at the fastest rate since the collection of these numbers began in 1995.

There are now around 4.3 million enterprises in the UK, A large number sole traders, but 1.3 million are small companies employing from one to 500.

Small businesses are making up an increasing proportion of the UK economy, and now represents over 95 percent of all businesses.
