Expensive alternative

Spotted yesterday by a reader in Gullegem, Belgium a man in a very odd platform contraption on a pricey new Cat 360 degree excavator.

Our man in the platform looks to be cutting trees or something, the platform or whatever it is – is clearly lacking in all the normal safety measures, and is of course controlled by the man in the cab, some distance away - and with controls not designed to handle people. So both dangerous and grossly inefficient.
