Kranlyft reorganises German sales
Maeda's European master distributor Kranlyft has reorganised the Maeda sales structure in Germany. Conmac now becomes the key account importer for specific customers, while Uplifter takes over as the general importer for the whole of Germany.
Maeda started working in Germany in 2003 initially with Wolfgang Dahms, Joachim Metzner and Reinhard Willenbrock of Conmac, who teamed up with Martin Lobinger of newly formed Uplifter. The two companies were quick to spot the market potential for spider and mini crawler cranes. Since then 400 Maeda cranes have been delivered.
In 2008 the German market was divided into the north, covered by Conmac, and the south where Uplifter represented the brand. This this has now changed, Uplifter is based in Oberaich, Bavaria and has seven branches spread throughout Germany, and says that it is planning to open more.
