Hanging out on the balcony

A reader in Germany spotted a man balancing on the top of a ladder on the edge of a balcony in Hamburg.

As if the height was not bad enough our man reaches out

The man who appears to be installing a cable then leans out to the side – one of the riskiest manoeuvres on a ladder. And as if that is not bad enough it is at least five stories up.

Spotted in Hamburg

In the words of our reader: “please take a look at this unsafe roofing practice in Hamburg, Germany on the 16th of October. These roofing guys are fixing a big sunshade on the balcony without any protection.

The one guy is standing on a ladder above the balcony rail appearing to be pulling some cable backwards thru the roof. If he slips backwards he is surely going to fall backwards dropping down 10 to 12 metres”.
