107 JCBs for Nixon

UK based rental company Nixon Hire has taken delivery of 107 JCB telehandlers with Tier 4i engines in a deal worth over £7 million. With lift heights ranging from seven to 17 metres, the order consists of JCB’s 531-70, 533-105, 535-125, 535-140 and 540-170 telehandlers.

Developed to meet the EU Stage IIIB/US Tier 4 Interim emissions standards, the Ecomax Tier 4i engines do not require diesel particulate filters (DPFs) or exhaust after treatment fluids, which - the company claims - results in up to seven percent improved fuel economy and 15 percent more torque.

The majority of the machines are already out on hire on construction and materials handling projects across the UK

Nixon Hire managing director Graham Nixon said: “JCB telehandlers appeal as they are reliable, the serviceable parts are readily available and they are popular with our customers. They are high quality, robust telehandlers which include modern technology and the latest health and safety features. We continue to have an excellent relationship with our local dealer Scot JCB and its extensive depot coverage compliments our own depot network very well.”
