Terex Launch new Telehandlers

Terex unveiled four new telehandler models at SAIE in Bologna last week, three new Gyro 360 degree models with lift heights of 18, 20 and 25 metres and a new 4,000kg/13 metre fixed frame unit, the Telelift 4013.

Looking first at the new 360 models. The 4518 and 4020 are a family and share the same base unit, with 17.25 or 19.65 metres of lift height and 4,500 and 4,000kgs lift capacity respectively. The new models fit into the Terex Girolift range between the existing 3518 and the 5022.
Visually the new models are closer to the current 5022 in that they utilise beam and jack outriggers rather than the narrow width, flop down ones on the 3518. However they are completely new models and share very little commonality with the existing range.

The 6025 is a larger machine which extends the Terex telehandler line up to 25 metres, with a 6,000 kg lift capacity.

The two smaller units are Deutz powered, a change for Terex from the Perkins power units on most existing models, while the 6025 uses a Cummins engine.

The one new fixed frame model, the Telelift 4013, fits in between the existing 3713 and the 4017. Once again Terex has moved away from Perkins, equipping the new model with a Cummins power unit. Few details were available at the show, so we will report on this and the other new models in more depth at a later date.

All of the new telehandlers will be marketed under both the Terex and the Genie brands.
