Tree trimming fatality

A man fell to his death from a boom lift on Thursday in camp Verde, Arizona whilst trimming trees with a chainsaw on an extended pole.

The man, Jesus Maria Leon Urias, 55, was cutting the branches of pecan trees at a height of round six metres, when he is reported to have fallen out of the basket. We assume that he was not wearing a harness or lanyard at the time, but have been unable to confirm this.

OSHA was called in to investigate.
