Penz recruits in the UK

Austrian recycling and timber crane manufacturer Penz Crane has appointed Jason Lowthorpe as its UK/Ireland area manager as well as two new UK dealers.

Lowthorpe has spent the last 20 years working for German loader crane manufacturer Altas Cranes, most recently as UK regional sales manager – see: Atlas Cranes appoints sales manager.

The company has also appointed Plant Equipment as its sales and service distributor for recycling cranes in the Derby and Midlands region, with commercial vehicle specialist Kingstown Commercials taking responsibility for its timber cranes from its headquarters in Carlisle. The company also said it plans to have a dealer network established in the UK by the end of the year.

International sales manager Mario Bortolussi said: “Jason’s appointment demonstrates our level of commitment to growing business in the UK and Ireland. He has extensive hydraulic crane experience and is very well informed and knowledgeable of customer’s needs.”

Based in Aichdorf, Penz Crane manufactures vehicle mounted timber cranes and fixed cranes for the scrap, waste and recycled materials markets. Founded in 1966 the company invented the now well established ‘Z crane’.
