Boom truck overturns in Miami
A boom truck overturned in Miami Beach yesterday, stranding the operator on the upturned vehicle.
The man was operating the crane from the bed, on the side opposite the direction in which it tipped. He held on and was rescued by a fire platform. No one was injured in the incident. The crane, owned by Allegiance Crane, was working with most, if not all, of its boom extended when it went over.

The operator was trapped on the truck bed, but was unhurt
We understand that the crane was lifting items being used for the construction of a new restaurant building. Two other cranes were brought in to recover the overturned boom truck while inspectors from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were investigating what went wrong.
