New Genie booms for APS

Access Platform Sales (APS) has ordered the first 33ft Genie Z-33/18 and Z-62/40 boom lifts in the UK. Both boom lifts were launched at Apex.

The compact Z-33/18 electric boom has a 12 metre working height and an up and over height of 4.3 metres. Features include 30 percent gradeability, a low overall weight of 3.6 tonnes, direct AC electric drive and a 1.5 metres overall width.

The new 62ft Z-62/40 replaces the current Z-60/34 and includes Genie's Fast Mast dual riser which can be used independently of the top boom and allows the platform to be lowered to ground with the riser fully elevated as well as providing up to 1.68 metres of reach below ground level. With a stowed length with jib tucked under of 7.6 metres it has an overall weight of just under 10 tonnes.
