Sutton Death Wish

A reader in the UK spotted a man working from a poorly constructed steel scaffold tower.

Spotted in Sutton, London, less than 100 metres from a well known access rental company, the man is working at a height of around five metres drilling a new window into the building. The tower’s wooden boards are not properly attached and there is no edge protection or guard rails in sight, while access to the ‘platform is by a poorly placed ladder.

In the words of our reader: “I thought you might be interested to see another classic case of working at height safely! The edge protection is second to none. The quote from your man: ‘not paying for a piece of plant mate, waste of money’ is always comforting to his work force!”
