Nationwide Platforms to take half Lavendon spend
Over half of Lavendon’s £55 million spend for 2014 will go into the fleet of its UK operation Nationwide Platforms - see:

It includes around 700 new boom and scissor lifts from the group’s 1,350 total in order to maintain the age profile of its 10,700 unit fleet. Most of the spend is for Genie booms and scissors, along with specific units from MEC and Haulotte, while £3.5 million will be spent with Bronto, CTE, Ruthmann and Versalift for truck and van mounted lifts for the company’s Specialist Vehicle division.

The investment is part of a major fleet extension and renewal programme
