Another tree incident

A boom truck overturned yesterday in the town of Marlborough, Massachusetts, narrowly missing two houses as it lifted tree limbs from the back yard of a home.

The boom truck, owned by Marlborough-based Monkey Men Tree Removal Services, looks to have been working with an almost fully extended main boom when it went over. The pictures we have been sent do not reveal too much about the incident, however local reports suggest the ground under the front right outrigger gave way causing the crane to slowly overturn.

The fallen boom truck

The operator was able to slew the boom slightly as the boom truck overturned allowing the boom to very narrowly miss one of the homes. Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident. The crane was later recovered using by two cranes. OSHA is currently investigating the incident.
