NCSG back on the acquisition trail

NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Corporation has acquired Drayton Valley and Calgary-based, Tucker Oilfield Hauling

Tucker was founded by Richard Tucker in Drayton Valley in 1994 and supplies rigging, lifting and heavy haul services to the energy industry, Cory Crosby bought into the business in 2011.

As a part of the transaction, Crosby and Tucker will become investors in NCSG and stay with the business in order to expand the range of services provided in the Drayton Valley and Calgary markets.

NCSG president Ted Redmond said: “Cory and Dick have built a great business servicing their upstream, midstream and other customers in Western Canada and we are excited to be adding their deep expertise to our management team and welcome all of the highly skilled Tucker employees.
The deal broadens NCSG’s geographic presence into the Drayton Valley and Edson areas, enabling us to provide local services to customers there and broaden the services Tucker currently offers to include crane and ultra-heavy haul.”

“We are excited to be joining the NCSG team” added Crosby. “With access to NCSG’s team of 700 employees and fleet of over 285 cranes and specialized rigging services, Tucker will be able to take on larger projects/maintenance jobs and meet even more of our customers' rigging, lifting and heavy haul needs.”

“Tucker has been serving our valued customers for 20 years and I am looking forward to continue to work with our customers and grow the business in partnership with NCSG”, said Tucker.

In June NCSG announced a change of ownership with TriWest and the
Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund acquiring a majority stake in NCSG from its existing shareholders including Northwest Capital Appreciation which retained a minority holding.
