Five Böckers delivered to UK in August
Kranlyft UK delivered five Böckers in the UK last month including four truck mounted aluminium cranes and a furniture lift.
ABA, City Lifting and NMT have taken delivery of the largest model in the Böcker crane range – a 44 metre, four tonne AK44-4000 – while Nottingham based AKA has taken delivery of the smallest model – a 32 metre, 1,500kg capacity AK32-1500.
Walsall-based ABA Crane Hire added the AK44-4000 – the second in its fleet having taken delivery of its first earlier in the year, which quickly became one of its highest utilised crane. “Customers would specifically request it by name,” said Dale England, ABA rental manager.

The AK44-4000 is the largest aluminium crane in the Böcker range capable of a maximum reach of 44 metres and a 4,000kg maximum lift at 8.2 metres. The unit can easily be converted to an access platform as with all of the company's cranes. The AK44-4000 with platform has a maximum working height of 41.5 metres.
London-based City Lifting has added two more Böckers to its rental fleet, joining an AK35-3000 purchased earlier this year. The order for two was placed by City Lifting owner Trevor Jepson following a visit to the Bocker factory in Werne, Germany. As well as the AK44-400 on a Mercedes 1524 Atego chassis he also purchased an Agilo HL34-1.8 furniture hoist mounted on a Nissan Cabstar. The Agilo has a capacity of 400kg and a maximum lift height of 34 metres.

“Weighing just 3,500kg it is the ideal machine for lifting furniture and heavy awkward loads into some of the older building in London which have no lifts or means of getting modern furnishings into high rise buildings,” said Jepson.
Bedford based NMT Crane Hire took delivery of the demonstration Böcker AK44-4000 it ordered at this year’s Vertikal Days exhibition. The crane, has been delivered with full operator training at NMT’s premises in Marston Moreteyne, near Bedford.
