A glimpse at JDL Mediteranee
This weeks key event in Europe was the JDL Mediteranee show in Marseille, here is our first glimpse at the event with just some of the news.

Near the entrance ATN, Skyjack and Sennebogen
The show was blessed with fantastic weather and good attendance of the levels you might expect at a well organised specialist crane and access event. Most major manufacturers attended and reported generally positive response. The evening party attracted over 1,100 crane and access people and was very well organised.

A famous St Tropez DJ provided the late night music from a JLG scissor lift
There were a number of launches, the biggest being Manitou’s announcement of a new 32 metre 360 degree telehandler, with 5.5 tonnes fork capacity and seven tonnes maximum suspended capacity using the boom mounted winch.

Bronto launched its new French sales team for industrial truck mounted lifts, having gained a decent market show in the fire rescue platform market over the past three years. The new operation with be headed by Dominique Allemand who has spent the past three years building the firefighting business. He will be supported by technician Nicolas Sengelin.

Palfinger Platforms tested the market with Palfinger France, a joint venture with Groupe Vincent to mount and sell and support Palfinger loader cranes.

France Elévateur appeared for the first time since acquiring a controlling interest in CTE France, It now has conflicts in several areas being the Unic spider crane dealer for France, while being the European master dealer for R&B Mighty Cranes. Also the CTE and Platform Spider spider lift representative. All very interesting.
