Michael Falk-Schmidt quits Worldlift

Michael Falck Schmidt has resigned as managing director of Worldlift Industries effective December 31 2005. He has been replaced by Ernest Fuller, who took over earlier this week.

Fuller was chief technology officer at SDC Denmark, a company within VT Holdings, the owner of Worldlift. that is a DVD/CD duplication business.

In a letter posted to Worldlift customers on Monday Fuller said that Falck Schmidt’s departure was “according to mutual agreement and understanding.”

Michael Falck Schmidt was managing director at Falck Schmidt before it was acquired by VT Holdings which already owned Denka. In a surprise move at the time he was appointed to head up the two companies under the Worldlift banner. Denka Managing director, Nils Bo Mølholm resigned and left the company

The Falck Schmidt plant in Odense then became the headquarters for the merged business. The Denka plant in Holbaek remained as a production plant for the Denka trailer lift line. While Odense focused on truck mounts and atrium lifts.

Since the merger Worldlift has done well, and in November won its largest order ever, for 106 trailer lifts, worth around €5 million, from Pekkaniska the Finnish based rental company. It also has a backlog on most models of well over six months.
