Making its show and world debut was the production type of Hook-Up Solutions’ 1.5 tonne Hooka pick & carry crane, designed to lift and move bulk building materials. Mounted on a Hinowa tracked chassis and powered by a Honda GX630 V-Twin petrol engine, the ride-along pick & carry can lift loads up to 1.5 tonnes, or one tonne pallets/bags of loose material to a height of 2.65 metres. It can then be placed on the machine’s flat bed and secured in place with the company’s Load Lock system, which uses two rear hydraulic pinches and front outriggers which fold back onto the load. Weighing 1.25 tonnes and only measuring one metre wide, the Hooka can also be fitted with a dozer blade for levelling loose material.

UK access specialist Youngman had 14 new components as well as five improved components for its BoSS scaffold system, which it says will change the way towers are put to use. It also had its BoSS low level work system on show which, using mainly standard tower components, provides a low level tower offering a capacity of 275kg. Multiple units can also be linked together to provide a longer length work platform.
