Gardemann continues to invest

Following its order for 50 Ruthmann truck mounted lifts last week (see: Record order for Ruthmann) Gardemann has ordered a further 450 aerial work platforms, one of the largest investments for the Lavendon subsidiary in recent years. Delivery is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks.

The order comprises more than 300 scissor lifts - including rough terrain models with working heights up to 18 metres along with compact electric scissor lifts - 100 Genie and Haulotte articulated boom lifts and 50 furniture lifts. The company will also install its SkySiren secondary guarding and SkyRak material handling systems on a number of the new machines.

The company said the order is the major part of a fleet renewal programme, as well as to increase product availability from its 27 rental depots across Germany.
