AFI sells 3,000th machine

AFI Resale, the new and used machine sales division of UK based access rental group AFI, has sold its 3,000th aerial work platform.

The 3,000th machine – an 80ft JLG 800AJ boom lift manufactured in 2005 – was sold to Surrey-based Moran Roofing and fitted with SkyGuard secondary guarding and SmartZone systems. The boom lift has been fully inspected and comes with a six month LOLER certificate and the option to purchase a service maintenance agreement.

Moran Roofing managing director Darryl Moran, said: “After regularly hiring powered access machines we decided it would make good business sense to purchase our own aerial work platform. We opted for the JLG boom lift and, as the health and safety of our staff is paramount, we felt that the SkyGuard secondary guarding system was well worth the additional investment as it reduces the risk of a member of our staff getting injured.”

AFI Resale was founded in 2005 as the new and used equipment sales arm of powered access rental group AFI. In recent years an increasing number of its shipments have gone overseas and as a result it has added French, German, Spanish and Korean languages to its website.
