Burt acquires Biondi
Burt Crane & Rigging has expanded its services in New York and New England with the acquisition of Biondi Rigging of Albany, New York.
Established in the mid-1990s Biondi provides crane and rigging services throughout New York, focusing primarily on telecommunication construction and maintenance as well as specialised rigging, hauling, crating and packaging.
Burt Crane chief operating officer, Thomas Scheib, said: “Biondi Rigging has an exceptionally strong reputation of being forward thinkers, meticulous job planners while maintaining a stellar safety record. I am particularly honoured to now work side by side with Jay Biondi. Even while competing over the years I have admired the dedication and finesse Jay provides his customers.”
Established in 1975, Burt Cranes & Rigging is now a fifth generation family business which provides heavy lifting, haulage and logistic services. Operating with a fleet of truck mounted and All Terrain cranes - topped by a 450 tonne Tadano ATF 400G-6 - the company also has a number of haulage vehicles and heavy duty forklifts.
