Happy New Year

Another year over - another just begun.

Well 2015 was really not a bad year overall - yes it got a little tougher for some as we moved through the second half, and many worry that the recent acts of senseless, mindless cowardly violence in Paris and beyond might put an end to the growing recovery – but let us all try and make sure that doesn’t happen.

We did see positive news in long suffering Southern Europe and hopefully when we look back at the challenges and uncertainty of this period, it will be just be another blip along the way towards global prosperity and wellbeing for all.

If you need a few reminders of both the good and the not so good things that happened in our industry over past 12 months, we will publish our ‘Look back at 2015’ feature in the January issue of Cranes & Access which will also be available online of course.

2016 is a Bauma year, and we are hoping that it will be a year to remember for all the right reasons, in June we will be organising the 10th Vertikal Days event, and if stand bookings are anything to go by it will be the best yet. We certainly hope to see many of you there and will do all we can to make it extra special.

Hopefully you will be implementing some positive New Year resolutions, and will then follow through with them during the year? I am planning a few myself and this year really intend to make them stick. Time will tell on how well I do!
