Manitou Germany goes direct

Manitou Germany has opened its first direct sales and service operation in Salzgitter, lower Saxony bang in the centre of the northern half of the country, between Brunswick and Hildesheim.

Dubbed the Manitou Centre, the operation will sell and service all three Manitou owned brands - Manitou, Gehl and Mustang. A key focus at the start will be on the agricultural market, for telehandlers, articulated loaders, compact skid steer loaders and attachments. The operation will though also offer the group’s range of Manitou construction /industrial products, including telehandlers, forklifts and aerial work platforms complete with spare parts, service and financing for all sectors.

Manitou's first direct sales operation in Germany in Salzgitter

According to the company the move is intended as a complement to the existing Manitou dealer network, rather than a replacement. The depot has also been chosen not only for its central location, but also in an area not well covered by independent Manitou dealers.

The new Manitou Centre in Salzgitter will offer service for all group products
