Shipyard Genie for Doornbos

Dutch rental company Doornbos Equipment has purchased its first 120ft Genie S120HD straight telescopic boom lift with numerous hostile environment modifications.

The new boom lift was supplied by local distributor HDW for work in blasting and painting ships and oil platforms. The unit is a CE version of the S-3200 and S-3800 built in China for the Asian shipbuilding market. The latest version includes several improvements, including a fully integral steel cover for the boom top mounted cable and hose tracks. The slew ring incorporates a guard, the inside flanges of the superstructure frame are protected with a shield, all hydraulic cylinders are fitted with bellows and each boom section is protected with wiper seals.

In addition the machine has an extra-large 240 litre steel fuel tank, which the company claims, provides up to 28 hours continuous operation, without refuelling, a large storage box for fire extinguisher, a heavy duty platform and steel component covers.
