Crane boom over the road
The boom of a Rough Terrain crane being transported along Interstate 69, north of Fort Wayne in Indiana yesterday, slewed over the side of the trailer, while the centrifugal forces managed to extend the boom across the two central lanes of the highway as it went.
Thankfully the boom did not catch any other traffic, and no one was injured. According to the highway police the boom broke free after it struck a the bridge support near De Kalb County airport.
