New 15m spider from Hinowa

Hinowa will launch an all-new 15.4 metre tracked spider lift, the 15.70 Performance IIIS at Bauma in April.

This will be the fourth model in the company’s Lightlift Performance IIIS series, joining the Lightlift 17.75 Performance IIIS, Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS and Lightlift 26.14 Performance IIIS.

The main features of this new model, which will replace the Goldlift 14:70, is its overall length of 3.4 metres with platform removed and just over four metres when fitted. It is also slightly narrower with an overall width of around 780mm, and lower at 1.99 metres, while total fully equipped weight is under two tonnes.

The working envelope is also significantly improved with a maximum outreach of 6.6 metres at which it can remain perfectly parallel to a wall at this outreach while elevating up to a height of 10 metres. Platform capacity is 230kg unrestricted including the standard platform rotation..
Power comes from either a Hatz diesel or Honda petrol engine, with a lithium-ion battery pack option. The first units are expected to ship in July.

The new machine has a greatly improved geometry with parallel lift at full outreach to 10 metres


At the same time the company will give its Lightlift 17.75 Performance IIIS and Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS an upgrade to create Mark 2 versions. Changes include: A new basket design, a single key starting system, LED lights on the outriggers, new remote controller box and the option of an anti-entrapment system – most likely with last function back up.
