Effer confirms Martin Williams for UK

Effer has confirmed the appointment of Martin Williams (Hull) as the sole distributor for its vehicle mounted loader cranes in the UK, taking over from Atlas UK. The company has taken a stand at Vertikal Days in June, to help launch its new partnership.

Martin Williams established the business that bears his name in 1990 as a small accident repair centre, The company expanded steadily entering the commercial vehicle body building market in 2005. In the interim Williams was joined in the business by sons Nick and Chris, and today it operates from a 6,000 square metre facility, located on a seven acre site in Hull, which include two of the largest non-manufacturer paint shops in Europe.

Director Nick Williams said: “Working with a prestigious company like Effer is testimony to our investment in our facilities and training together with the commitment of our workforce”.

Jon Cooper, national sales manager added: “Our ambition is to make Effer the number one choice in the UK for the heavy lift and plant hire market. This will be supported by our in house body building and paintwork department and will ensure Martin Williams are your number 1 choice for all of your vehicle requirements.”

“The aftercare service will be supported by our fleet of fully equipped service vans, together with our nationwide network of agents all trained to work on the full range of Effer products”.

Effer training manager Mauro Rovinetti, has responsibility for training Martin Williams staff, and said: “We share our in-depth product knowledge using our proven ‘Train the trainer’ philosophy; it is a comprehensive training programme for our partners’ technical staff. Martin Williams’s technicians will be trained to the same high level of expertise in Effer’s products as our own technicians. We train a designated number of technical personnel both on site and also at our facilities. Their technicians will then become master technicians who will train their colleagues. “

Effer has an extensive range of ‘light, medium and big’ loader cranes including its largest, a 300 tonne/metre crane that demounts from its own trailer and then self-propel along train tracks to recover derailed trains.
