Second Sany reach stacker

UK rail service logistics provider Rail Freight Services has added a second Sany reach stacker to its fleet.

The machine was supplied by Cooper Specialised Handling, the heavy lifting division of Cooper Handling group, the exclusive distributor for Sany heavy handling equipment in the UK.

Based in Harlow, Essex, Rail Freight Services will place the new Sany SRSC 4531 reach stacker on a contract in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The rail head site receives trains from a power station in Yorkshire with containers filled with pulverised fuel ash which is reprocessed into building materials. Rail Freight Services already has one Sany reach stacker working on a similar operation in South Wales.

RFS puts the Sany SRSC 4531 reach stacker to work at a rail head in Abingdon

Kevin Biddle, operations manager at Rail Freight Services said: "Given our experience of both the Sany machine and the service Cooper provides, it was simply a natural choice for us to repeat a winning formula in Abingdon."

The SRSC 4531 is manufactured in Sany's plant in northern Germany with most parts sourced locally and has been supplied with a full maintenance support package.
