First Skyjack SJ86 for ORS

Skyjack has delivered an 86ft SJ86 T telescopic boom lift to Ontario Rental Supply (ORS), in Ottawa, Ontario. Introduced at the Rental Show last February, the first SJ86 units were delivered in July.

The new machine joins more than 100 Skyjack aerial work platforms in its fleet ranging from working heights of 12ft SJ12 to a 180ft Genie SX180. The new SJ86 T offers 23.4 metres of outreach, the versatility of a 125 degree articulating jib, and up to 341kg platform capacity- maximum unrestricted capacity is 227kg to around 20 metres.

ORS general manager Pat Kelahear said: “We gave our commitment to purchase a SJ86 T the minute we heard they were expanding their telescopic boom range. We like Skyjack machines because they keep things simple, which helps with ease of operation and maintenance. We like that the SJ86 T offers high capacity zones and dual-capacity ratings.We mainly use telescopic booms for glazing applications - installing glass on building exteriors, since it offers quite an impressive working height and makes it easy to reach the exterior of tall buildings.”
