Offroad specialist for Continental

German based tyre manufacturer Continental has appointed T. Shawn Rasey as global business development manager for its Off Road/earthmover tyre business.

Based in the USA, Rasey takes over the full responsibility for the expansion of all international earthmover tyre activities and will be responsible for driving forward the next phase of the company’s development and growth worldwide.

T. Shawn Rasey

Rasey has spent his entire career in the off road tyre industry and was previously president of the off road division of BKT Americas.

Prior to that he spent over eight years with Bridgestone tyres, in a variety of roles, mostly in the group’s Off Road tyre division as director, vice president and then president of the US based off road tyre business. In 2012 he was appointed vice president of Bridgestone Mining Solutions.

Before joining Bridgestone he was responsible for marketing at Yokohama tyre, having joined the company in 1985.
